Explanation

Explanation is the why. It is reflective writing about design choices, alternatives considered, and the shape of the problem space. It does not solve problems and does not teach skills — it builds a mental model.

Use explanation when the reader keeps asking “but why is it like this?”. Good explanation makes reference pages feel obvious and tutorials feel grounded.
